Horse Tracks Asking for Bail Out

Omaha, Nebraska, USA – Gambling with the Good Life was disappointed today to see that the horse tracks have proposed legislation that will change our Constitution to allow slot machines at all four of our horse racing tracks plus unlimited Indian casinos.

Pat Loontjer, Executive Director of Gambling with the Good Life, said "LB266 will not only change our sacred Constitution and allow slot machines and casinos to destroy our state, but it will provide 3 things: a bribe to state leaders who want money for road construction, a new bureaucracy unparalleled in our state and a huge bail-out to a dying sport that cannot sustain itself."

Loontjer stated that, "The people of Nebraska have voted several times on this issue and have overwhelmingly defeated it. We will unite once again to prevent this self serving, destructive legislation from becoming law and harming the families of Nebraska with more addiction, bankruptcies and crime."
