Nevada Casinos Sink to New Low

OMAHA, Nebraska, USA – On Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 3:00PM at the “Gambling with the Good Life” office at 1065 N. 115^th Street in Omaha (enter the back door of the building – we are the second door on your left), Pat Loontjer, joined by several attorneys will be holding a news conference. These attorneys are incensed at the slanderous statements hurled at Pat Loontjer and her organization. They are considering further action. She will respond to the many false and misleading accusations made by Phil Young and his Nevada casino backers.

A Nevada casino company and their spokesperson have apparently sent out a new fax and email message to the media, churches and businesses throughout Nebraska that is full of lies.

When asked about the “blast fax” and Email sent by the Nevada Casinos, Pat Loontjer said, “It is absolutely pitiful that the Nevada casinos are spending millions of dollars in Nebraska to sponsor false advertisements, attempting to buy Nebraskans’ votes. And now they have the nerve to attack ordinary citizens, the grassroots, nonprofit organization “Gambling with the Good Life” and a prominent Omaha law firm. We are working to protect our families and our way of life from the Nevada based casino owners. The owners will profit greatly at Nebraska taxpayers and families’ expense if casinos and slot machines are allowed into Nebraska. They should get their facts straight before sending out their lies.”
